  Margaret M. McKee





Meg McKee is an experienced trial lawyer representing clients in trials, arbitrations, mediations and appeals in matters involving complex commercial, corporate and business litigation, and serious plaintiff's personal injury litigation. She holds the highest "AV" peer review rating from America's premier lawyers' rating service, Martindale Hubbell.

Meg joined K. Donald Proctor, P.A.(now Proctor & McKee, P.A.) in 1999 and became a principal of the firm in 2003.

Meg McKee graduated from the University of Pennsylvania (B.A. 1981) and received her law degree from the University of Baltimore in 1984 where she was a National Champion in the Client Counseling Competition. After graduating from law school she served as a law clerk in the Circuit Court for Anne Arundel County, Maryland in 1984 and 1985. She then joined the Baltimore based firm of Smith, Somerville & Case, and practiced from that firm's Annapolis, Maryland office from 1985 through 1989, concentrating in insurance defense litigation. She later joined the Towson office of the Baltimore based firm of Miles & Stockbridge where she practiced for three years in the fields of commercial litigation and insurance defense litigation, until joining Don Proctor at his firm.

Meg is admitted to practice before Maryland's state courts, the United States District Court for the District of Maryland, the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit and the United States Supreme Court. She is a member of the Baltimore County Bar Association, the Maryland State Bar Association (Member, Litigation Section); the Maryland Women's Bar Association (Member, Judicial Selections Committee), the American Bar Association (Member, Litigation and Torts & Insurance Practice Sections); and the Association of Trial Lawyers of America.

From 1998 through 2005, Meg served on the faculty of the young lawyers' trial advocacy course presented by the National Institute for Trial Advocacy.
